Blackish Brownish Pitbull mix with White Spots around neck

We found a very friendly, very sweet, pitbull mix dog with a couple white splotches around his neck in Westerville. He ran in front of our car on State Street crossing from the Tim Hortons and going into the Firestone parking lot. We have checked him for microchips at the vet, but he doesn’t have one or a collar or tags, and isn’t neutered. Since we really have no where we can safely put him at our hse, we have called animal control, who told us to take him to the police station on Huber Ridge. They already got a call from someone else notifying he was out and about. It breaks my heart that we can’t keep this sweet playful boy with us until we find the owners. Please call Westerville Animal Control if you know him or where he lives ASAP.
