Please share this sweet girl I do not think she will do well in a shelter she is very sweet and a Velcro dog. If anyone is interested in fostering while we search for her family please let me know. We will have her fully vetted and spayed.

Found a pet? Please use the following as a checklist: * Please take to be scanned for a microchip! Any vet can do this! * Also, please file a found report with the area shelter(s) online. If you're close to other cities or towns, please file with all of them! This is where the owners will typically look first. Some of the shelters can also come to you and scan for the chip. (For plano, use this link and choose "FOUND": https://tx-plano-onlineforms.app.transform.civicplus.com/forms/12427 * You can keep him/her while looking for the owners. The shelters are full anyway! * If the pet has a chip but they can't find updated info or it's a dead end, get the chip # from whomever scans, and fill out this form https://form.jotform.com/90818285559976. They will trace the chip number, and contact the owner of record. * Please post as found on: Nextdoor and Pawboost.com (ignore request for a credit card, since it's free) * Join and post on Facebook-in your city's Lost and Found groups (ex. Plano, TX Lost and Found Pets, Richardson TX Lost and Found Pets, etc) or the L&F for your city or area (maybe a county or community page.) * Walk the pet around the neighborhood area where found and post on Nextdoor. (Make sure to extend the area on your Nextdoor post, so it hits neighboring subdivisions.) * Beware of scammers and those who can't prove ownership with vet records, plus pictures, etc. * If you can't keep the pet, area shelters (during regular hours) can keep them until their owner(s) can get them, or after hours the Emergency Vet clinics can usually hold overnight and will get them to the area shelter the next regular business day. Pets are considered property in Texas. Texas law requires you to "hold" and make every effort to find the owners, for a period of time, which is why shelters put them on a stray hold for 7-10 days. Do NOT give the pet to someone else, as you can be liable for stolen property. Please require vet records for anyone claiming ownership. Thank You for keeping this pet safe! πŸ™ŒπŸΌβ€οΈπŸ™ŒπŸΌ
