AFTER 2 months … 💖🐱Dear guardian 💖🐱 Do not give up or stop taking action. 'Lost cat' JiJi was found after being lost for 4 MONTHS! Cats will remain for months and months doing their best to survive…don’t give up on your furry baby - we are all praying for you...don't give up...Replace worn out flyers and Put up more flyers a few blocks out in all directions ...I encourage you to talk to your neighbors AGAIN to remind them your kitty is still missing and that you need their help to keep an eye out and ask a neighbor to report your kitty is lost on the RING camera network... Every morning I get texts from people who find their cats while calling for them after 10pm at night..please continue to call for your cat and/or make that noise that kitty is familiar with whether it's keys jingling or treat bag crinkles or simply your calm voice ...it may seem hopeless to do this but I am telling you everything you do helps! cover all possibilities: Check nearby shelters ONLINE DAILY and IN PERSON weekly (some cats are NOT posted online at the shelters!) Deliver updated flyers to each residence starting with your block and expanding outward 2 blocks in all directions...Continue to use your motion activated wifi camera pointed at wet food and water bowl daily. If you don't have one - I emplore you to get one and put out food/water every day... So many cases guardians are ready to give up then they finally put the camera out there (whether wifi to your phone or WILD LIFE camera with batteries no wifi) and after some days or a week they will Spot their cat - after being gone for weeks or months...spotting kitty eating the food changes everything and so many people discover this with the camera - then sometime they have to TRAP their cat because kitty is in survival mode and hides even from their guardian...cats are survivors and once they are back inside at home, they go back to being sweet cozy loving kitty. I didn't know about using cameras 1st year I was helping people and now I use it in every case (for disabled or seniors who can't walk around) it's a HUGE help and again this is to cover all possibilities... FLYERS all over the neighborhood and going door to door to talk to neighbors is KEY in spreading the word to the exact people who COULD spot him! Sending you LOVE, HOPE and unwavering DETERMINATION 🐱🙏💖 💥WiFI Camera - Mini Blink camera $35 (the black one): https://a.co/ihc7BSy 💥WIldlife camera wifi not needed / eight AA batteries:https://a.co/d/0OqIZDT

🐱💜Dear guardian🐱💜keep checking your shelter/s online daily and in person weekly..keep posting updates online ..Talk to your neighbors again. Ask them to check their RING cameras. replace FLYERS posted in your neighborhood 2+ blocks out from where you live. PRINT more flyers to drop into mailboxes of your neighbors 2+ blocks reminding folks that your sweet kitty is still missing and you need neighbors to check RING cameras.. Continue to leave WET food and water by the escape point with a motion activated camera AIMED at the food.($35 MINI BLINK CAMERA ON AMAZON) If spotted on camera eating, then you must do a stakeout and trap your cat. Rent a trap and watch the video/s I sent on an earlier post to ensure safety and success. Continue to walk around late night / early mornings when it’s dark and quiet and CALMLY call for kitty walking back toward home where you leave the food/camera...Don’t give up. So many cats are found after months being lost from determined guardians who keep taking action in multiple ways vs relying on online only 🙏I’m so sorry for the terrible worry and stress ..hang in there...remain hopeful … keep talking to your neighbors. hang in there 💜💜💜💜💜🙏 💖🙏 damia💖🙏 650-339-6619 ( www.happycatlady.com) https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/

🐱🙏💖I’m so sorry kitty is still missing. Please do Not lose hope or stop taking action. Lost cat ‘Ninja’ was found within the block after 71 days of us searching for him! He was 6 houses away after 71 days! Don’t give up the search… 'Lost cat Alan' on Pawboost was reunited after 129 days! His guardians wouldn’t give up and didn’t stop searching …a neighbor spotted ALAN - a neighbor they had spoke to while going door to door - it was the 3rd time they had done the rounds reminding neighbors their kitty was still missing..do not lose hope…Keep taking action🐱🙏💖 🐱PRINT more flyers to post up on lampposts beyond your block and replace the ones on your block if the old ones are worn .... put new flyers in the "clear sheet protectors" with the opening facing down so they last …(previous post shows example - you can buy at fedex print store, target, staples or amazon) Use DUCT tape to go all the way around the top and bottom of flyer so it adheres. 🐱TALK TO YOUR NEIGHBORS AGAIN - yes going door to door to remind your dear neighbors that your cat is still missing and you are needing their help to spot kitty more than ever - people have short memories - they DO need to be reminded. Talk to dog walkers on your street - they are outside at all times and have helped me spot lost kitties I was helping with many times....It's never a waste of time talking to neighbors ..the more eyes you have the better...ask them to take a photo and call text you any hour of the night - and not to approach Kitty or they might scare him. 🐱CONTINUE TO CALL FOR KITTY at night and early mornings 10pm-6am..set your alarm for 1am, 3am 5am and call calmly with stinky wet food...walk around the block and call for kitty as you walk BACK LEADING HOME ...NOT leading AWAY from home. 💜💜PLACE A CAMERA 💜💜motion activated (with night vision ideally) - pointed at bowl with wet food (and water) near outside the door and review camera footage daily - you can't believe how many times a cat will return home and has no way of getting back inside and/or the owners stops going out at night so the cat disappears back into the night...or the cat just remains outside even with the door slightly open (in a survival mode) This has happened recently in multiple cases where a guardian catches their cat on camera after weeks of no sightings …then they either end up going out during the same time every night or they end having to humanely trap their cat because kitty kept running away from the owner. (once back inside the survival mode turns off and they are back to being purry cozy kitty) Place wet food out with a camera (that will snap images or video upon movement) you may see other cats, raccoons and other creatures eat the food..that's ok...keep refilling the WET food as he may turn up one of these nights - I’ve done this many times and always SO happy I did because the camera gives the hope you need! (raccoons LOVE dry cat food so wet food is better) you can buy motion sensor camera on amazon over night - connect to wifi...OR a wild life camera with playback feature (battery operated - no wifi needed) . 🐱Once kitty is spotted on camera or by your neighbor then you can sent a HUMANE CAT TRAP - which must be monitored every single second it is ‘set’. You can RENT a trap from the SPCA or borrow a trap - ask folks on Nextdoor (cat owners group) if anyone has a trap you can borrow (If you live in SF I have one to lend you) Sometimes cats are caught on camera eating and NOT coming inside even when the guardian has left the door open..some cats stay in a kind of survival mode (like a switch was flipped) which helps them survive but sometimes gets in the way with them returning inside on their own. It could take days/weeks to get them on camera but once they find this source of food they will return…and some nights it will be different cats or raccoons…they all watch each other from afar…once caught on camera you can set a trap and monitor it from a distance making sure you don’t trap another creature. 💥WiFI Camera: Mini Blink camera $35: https://a.co/ihc7BSy 💥WIldlife camera (WIFI NOT NEEDED) 8 AA batteries: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B099F54JJ4... 🐱Check for found cats on PAWBOOST, NEXTDOOR, your local ANIMAL SHELTERS DAILY… 💜💜 VISIT IN PERSON 💜💜the shelter’s closest to you every 5 days (FOR SFACC it’s best to check 24petconnect.com and Some cats will end up at your animal shelter and some will never show up - we just don’t know how LUCK plays out so this is why you must COVER ALL POSSIBILITIES.There are SO many FOUND cats brought in every single day. Some are not shown online this is why you have to physically go in and check for yourself. MANY lost cats are reunited long after a month. Many cats end up at a shelter after their guardian has unfortunately stopped checking and that is just heart breaking. 🐱Keep posting updates on Nextdoor and pawboost ..talk to your neighbors, update flyers, call for kitty at night, leave food and water out and get a camera to check footage every day. Stay strong, stay determined🙌 Don’t let anyone tell you to give up! 🙏 Damia Foti🐱🙏💖 💜💜💜💜 ANOTHER $OPTION to help spread the news again in your neighborhood to the closest 1000 residents: The guardian of Lost cat 'Leila' used this service and a few days slater a neighbor 2 blocks received the postcard and contacted her because her cat had been visiting her backyard and she was feeding her - ‘Leila’ has been reunited with her loving human!! https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=2530343453770639&id=697221290416207 💜💜💜💜 🐯 POSTCARD Delivery service: https://lostpetcards.com/ - this family owned company will send Lost Cat Postcard (with photo and info) to the closest 1000 residents from where kitty escaped - this is an extremely efficient way to make sure your neighbors are aware your cat is missing - and your contact info is readily available if they spot kitty. I've used this service 3 times so far and always happy I did: https://lostpetcards.com/ . It’s pricey but worth it. I paid for this mailing service for a cat already missing for weeks after getting lost the same day kitty was rehomed and I needed to spread the word to neighbors as quickly as possible as I came onto the case late - weeks after kitty was already missing. Someone spotted her after a week, because he received a postcard!. We received several calls …some were false sightings so it’s important to include on the postcard “Please take a photo and call if you THINK you see my cat..(Please do not approach kitty - call me!) The other 2 times I used the service I received sightings within 2 weeks, one kitty was found within the block (and I’d already flyered door to door on the block) The way it works is you submit a form online https://lostpetcards.com/ then they will email you asking to confirm informatino, then they will send you a draft postcard and show you the zone that USPS will cover based on original location (they’ll show you on a map) 2 days later POSTCARDS will be delivered to the nearest 1000 neighbors, including apts and businesses (1000 is the minimum) at the cost is $650 – be sure to include much of the same wording asking neighbors to check garages, sheds, crawl spaces, trees etc and offering a reward for a PHOTO of your kitty - similar wording to the FLYER TEMPLATES you can download below (www.happycatlady.com). 💜🐱🙏 CLICK →LOST (FRIENDLY) CAT FLYER- TEMPLATE https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ohg8MW56MKlrZbBsddIW75Vl6QICG93f/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=102845077284118854428&rtpof=true&sd=true CLICK →LOST (SHY) CAT FLYER - TEMPLATE https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_2RMxuyBX96lj8ajAVs-1oNwLiXGtvlr/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=102845077284118854428&rtpof=true&sd=true

🐯 It's still early and quiet and a BREAK from the RAIN!.. Right now Go out the 'escape' door and CALL For kitty in a calm NORMAL voice(no stress in your voice) ...keep calling sweetly ...be patient..kitty could have gotten stuck in the process of hiding way deep under a residence or in a garage or shed...call for your sweet kitty for 25 minutes straight in one spot 5 minutes at a time.....calm calm … 💖🙏Your KITTY took cover from the RAIN very NEAR 💖🙏 Just because you don’t see or hear kitty does NOT mean kitty is not VERY near…I am emphasizing this so you don't go searching 10 blocks away or get mislead by any false sightings - without a photo to prove it’s your kitty.. Keep calling for your kitty CALMLY in your NORMAL voice from 6pm-6am. Cats can sense stress in your voice and will hide if they sense it. Some scared cats will continue to hide and come forward when there’s no one around - to get to the WET food and water you leave out for your kitty AM + PM by the escape point. If kitty got out from the back then leave food and water by escape door left open 5” and talk to your neighbors to gain access to their yards..if kitty got out from front street and you have a garage, leave garage door open 5" with food and water just inside and her bedding at the FAR BACK CORNER ....get a WIFIcamera aimed at the food to receive movement notifications in case kitty comes to the food LATE NIGHT but then leaves again...then you WILL HAVE TO USE A HUMANE TRAP to trap her...rent or borrow a trap and watch youtube videos on how to use - I can send you a few great videos let me know! 🐯 Indoor cats will remain VERY NEAR TO escape point in a hiding spot in SILENCE and may come forward during the day though most come forward after dark until morning(when it’s quiet). MOST indoor cats are found within 1-5 houses away! - many times kitty is hiding within the property, under the porch, in storage area….scared cats are the stealthiest of hiders...this Is how they survive - Be patient and keep searching and calling… 🐯 INDOOR/OUTDOOR cats are typically found( stuck) within a block - depending on their normal territory. Just yesterday Lost cat 'HUGO" was found 2 yards away disoriented ...his guardian Ann was losing hope calling for him late night and early morning for a week - and last night at 11pm this time he meowed back!! This is why it's important to be consistent in searching and calling for Kitty in all the different ways I mention...in person...Flyering...checking Ring cameras...placing a camera in front of food and water you in case he's stuck and gets unstuck on his own (example a shed door or garage door is opened releasing him...) Every cat is different and needs our patience and determination. 🐯And UNLESS your kitty is SUPER FRIENDLY to complete strangers, the likelihood of kitty getting picked up and brought to animal care & control is just not reality ..at least not for a long while (though check online daily and in person once a week to cover all possibilities..shy or skittish cats often have to be purposefully trapped. Happy to give you guidance on that piece… 💥FLYERS WORK!!💥 Print 150 ASAP 🐯PRINT OUT A GOOGLE MAP OF YOUR BLOCK and take notes as you go DOOR TO DOOR tellign your neighbors about your missing kitty. Take notes which residences you speak to and those NOT home so you can try back later. the idea is to TALK to neighbors in person so they meet you and are more inclined to check their garage, shed, crawl spaces etc . Make sure to let neighbors know kitty is scared and for them to take a photo if they THINK they see you kitty. For those residences that aren’t home, use that blue painters tape to adhere a FLYER ( top and bottom) directly on their front door (won't damage) or folded and taped next to their mail boxes. 🐯Post up flyers all around your block and and across the street on both sides of lampposts . Place flyers inside clear sheet protectors and buy lots of clear packing tape and bright color DUCT tape in case the packing tape doesn’t stick. 🐯..Call for your baby from the ESCAPE POINT especially TONIGHT once it's dark and quiet and sounds travel far ... tonight call for him as you walk around your block ...listen closely for meows in garage (if kitty got out from the front)...YOu will find your baby…be patient and know that he is ok ...spread the word IN PERSON and Post up those flyers TODAY - you can print at fedex print stores (send online for pick up) or go there ...you can pick up clear sheet protectors to place the flyers you post UP around your block (clear protector sheets - with the opening facing down) and you can get the painters tape (for taping to front doors) and clear packing tape to tape the flyers around lampposts...we are all wishing you LOVE and HOPE and determination...🐱💖🙏 🐯Sometimes you have to check the same yard - more than ONCE!...see text example received from kitty guardian who checked 3 times in same yard an found her kitty! ...https://drive.google.com/file/d/10I_aHnjJ9rX6rYbGi6v7AWUTJVqggIxD/view?usp=sharing 🐯APARTMENT BUILDINGS: For distributing flyers at apartment buildings ...I always ring on bells and talk to folks and/or at least get inside so I can leave a flyer I front of each door step or if not an option then tape flyers onto the top and bottom of EACH mail box to ensure everyone around your block is aware along with posting UP FLYERS around the block and 1 block out in all directions (use the clear sheet protector so they LAST more than a few days! You want to cover all possibilities. Spreading the word IN PERSON and online is Critical in spotting kitty. Ask neighbors in person and on flyers to take a photo if they think they see your kitty instead of approaching her and to call/text you. Talking to neighbors dramatically increases the chances of your cat being spotted or discovered stuck..it engages people to care and to actively search 🐯MAILBOXES EXAMPLE _ FLYERING https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pQTHFCYD-D1Txo0u8cCbqjxYN4s8eOaL/view?usp=sharing 🐯DON’T GIVE UP.. call for kitty calmly especially 6pm-7am ...every day I get texts from cat owners saying they found their cat stuck in a shed, under a neighbor’s garage, on a roof, inside a storage space etc…or that a neighbor heard a meow in their yard AT NIGHT …..each cat is different and needs our patience and determination…and getting the eyes and ears of your neighbors to help is KEY. Return to those addresses if no one is home. Take notes . The neighbors that aren’t home COULD have a laundry room or storage that they closed just before leaving town and you need to cover ALL possibilities to find kitty. 🐯 ASK YOUR NEIGHBORS to check their RING CAMERA and if they can add a missing cat alert in your neighborhood for you! 🐯 Make sure kitty's microchip is up to date and check for FOUND cats daily online and every 5 days at your local shelter/s. Remain positive and determined!. All your effort and love works together to find your sweet kitty 💖🙏 damia foti (www.happycatlady.com) 💖🙏

🔻WARNING🔻New Scam Alert🔻 SCAMMERS will text you saying they’re affiliated with Pawboost and that they HAVE YOUR CAT and that YOU need to PROVE who you are by giving other phone numbers, your email, verifying google codes etc . These are all SCAMMERS - they may tell you to meet them somewhere BUT THEY WON'T Send you a PHOTO of your cat (they'll make up any excuse) Tell them you know they are scammers and to stop! Please Trust that If a neighbor sees or has your cat they will give you info freely and not play any strange ‘prove you are the owner of kitty’ games… Here are 2 recent SCAM texts I received -> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fXZaisdpT9AAnYg38Sr4WILds0ewC5KU/view?usp=sharing 🐱💜 INDOOR ONLY cats and LIMITED OUTSIDE ACCESS cats never go far. They go into survival mode and hide in silence. Most of them will not respond when they are in survival mode. 3 AM is the best time to find a missing indoor only cat. This is the time they become most active and responsive. Sit and quietly call for your kitty. Try to stay low, standing is intimidating to cats. Place some dirty socks and pillow cases near the escape point. Your scent will attract your kitty. If you have a garage, (and that’s the side kitty got out) place the items just inside the garage door left cracked open 5” - just enough for kitty to get in. Also place wet food by the slightly open garage door and get a $35 MINI BLINK camera (the black one on amazon https://a.co/5NUJG5G) aimed so you can receive phone notifications of any movement, DO NOT leave the litter box outside, it can attract predators and aggressive Tom cats. Because indoor only cats hide so well they are NOT as likely to be killed by a predator. Don't give up, it can take days. weeks or even months to find a missing indoor only cat. Use a flashlight as late at night as you can to look in trees, under cars and in bushes, under porches, in crawl spaces. Try to look for the glow of the cat’s eyes. The best chance of you being reunited with your cat is to do a methodical search of the area. Most indoor only cats will be within 150 feet of your home. Survival mode usually lasts 5 to 14 days but can last longer. Once their hunger gets to a maximum they snap out of it but this is a dangerous time because they come out of hiding. The majority of cats will try to make a break for home on the 5th night. Make mini flyers and hand them out to your neighbors. Most people don't pay attention to posted flyers though everything to spread lost cat info to neighbors is helpful. It's VERY VERY important that you look for kitty as late at night as you can. If you have other cats, watch them. If they are spending a lot of time looking out a certain window, that’s a good indication the missing cat is in that area. Wildlife and motion activated WIFI cameras are extremely helpful in spotting scared cats that come out to eat when no one is around. A lot of people are successful trapping their indoor only and limited access to outside cats. If you decide to trap, you must watch the trap closely, predators can kill a cat in a trap. In a recent case, while using a baby monitor to monitor the trap from inside the home, the guardian’s cat came to the front door at 5 AM and she was heard on the baby monitor. 🐱💜RENT/BORROW A HUMANE TRAP - Ask Nextdoor ‘cat owner’ group or other pet groups if someone can loan your a humane trap to lure kitty with stinky wet fish based food. You can rent from your local SPCA/animal shelter though it can take a few days to access so sometimes reaching out to cat groups on nextdoor and facebook will be faster. If you live in San Francisco I am happy to loan you one of my traps. Traps WORK well to lure scared cats out of hiding before Dawn or after sunset. 🐱💜This is an excellent baby monitor → https://a.co/d/ikleXw0 as part of your STAKEOUT where you place stinky wet cat food as bait at the far back center of the trap BEHIND the ‘trip plate’. I would suggest getting the help of a trained person with experience. Or watch all 3 of these videos below. They are excellent. You must monitor from very close by and/or watching the baby monitor live feed without distractions. 🐱💜Never leave an active trap unattended/unmonitored for even 15 seconds. You don’t want to trap another cat or worse, a raccoon. If you come across any stray cats coming to the food, please find out if kitty belongs to someone else by posting online ‘IS THIS YOUR CAT’ on facebook, nextdoor etc and take the cat to determine if micro-chipped. There are so many lost kitties and you would hope someone would do this for your kitty. 🐱💜BEFORE TRAPPING: MUST-WATCH HOW-TO VIDEOS 1. Trapper Tips and Tricks!
