update - I brought him to Sunridge Heights Animal Hospital. He's being evaluated and if they can rehab him they will, then release.

John Mattos that is awesome. Glad you came across this bird 😊Mourning Doves are protected species, whereas Ringneck Doves are not. Last I heard Sunridge was allowed to help and they will rehabilitate unless it is a dire situation. Please post in Las Vegas Pigeon Rescuers if you haven’t yet. The admin. will have to approve it first before posting. There are a lot of people with great bird experience there. Thank you again for helping this little one😊

note he cant fly currently so no danger of him getting out and hurting himself further. He's definitely injured though :(

Mary Alperin Clarich Yes! he (or she?) is inside, in my bathroom in a box on a blanket with some water. I couldnt leave him outside. I was thinking I could call henderson animal care and control and see if they can help

I would put it in a box in a bathroom, where it’s quiet with some water and seed if you have it. When I rescue a bird, I just use my bathtub and put down pee pads. Sunridge Animal Hospital off of Eastern may be able to help you. Did you bring it inside?
