I wouldn’t take her to Animal Services, she may be euthanized as a pregnant female. She probably wasn’t pregnant when she first got lost. Here are some rescues to try if she isn’t chipped. Send an email to info@wecareforpets.org to reach Care for Pets as they have volunteers who can come to your house and scan a pet to see if there is a chip and try to get the owner’s information from the chip company. Any vet can scan for a chip, but they are not always open. The Animal Emergency Clinic, 7145 Spring Creek, is open 24/7 can scan for a chip. They are located across Perryville and just down from Franchesco’s. 815-229-7791. Please call before heading over there as they might be busy with emergencies and not able to do a scan right away.

Check for a chip. Can you bring inside even in bat until owner or arrangements are made?
