Hi Susan, yes ,we have just come back from putting up posters around our neighborhood and I had a portable (loud) wireless speaker playing RICKY's (her partner) sounds and calls at the same time. We also bought a net to catch her just in case. - I'll ask my wife to post on Yonge Eglinton groups and other as well - THANK YOU !!!!!

Be aware that some scammers pretend to either represent or recommend pet-finding services. They just want your money. Post also on Lost and Found Birds Ontario, if you haven’t already.

Hi Roz - Yes, we are doing everything that you have suggested. Her male companion (RICKY) is outside on our balcony in his cage calling her (I have a blanket covering the cage and a heater for him). Also, playing on a loud outdoor speaker his sounds calling her and walking around our area playing the calling sounds as well. We are looking everywhere trees, bushes, backyards, etc with the help of our neighbors. I have also an outdoors bird feeder with her favorite food. We will be placing posters with her profile on our area today.

Shared. Birds will usually stay in the trees and on the roofs above the door they left. Leave her cage with the door open and food and water inside near that door. Leave the house door open if possible. If she has a friend leave it in its cage with the cage door closed near that door as well so it can call to its friend. Record and play sounds of same species calling near the door as that has helped some birds find their way back home. Advise local vet offices, rescues, shelters and bird sanctuaries as well as Toronto Animal Services and even nearby pet stores. See Pawboost for more search and find suggestions and sample posters. Post notices all around your neighbourhood including in and around nearby parks and well treed areas, Beware of anyone who tells you they can find or found your bird without certain proof as these are usually scams. Google lost birds Toronto/Ontario for more suggestions and sites where to post include FB lost pets Toronto.
