Message from Owner

Please help me bring my baby back !!! Jasper and I have spent the past 2.5 years of our life together, and he has changed everything for me. After the most stressful shift of my life during college, I found him behind the resturaunt- cold, starving, and alone. At just 4 weeks old, I wrapped Jasper up, took him and named him Nala (we weren’t sure at that point😅). We’ve spent every day together since, sharing life’s moments through the highs and the lows. I wouldn’t wish this pain upon anyone, and I beg anyone in West Knoxville to please keep your eyes peeled for my little guy. He’s the iest, goofiest, most loving kitty there ever was- and I’ll do anything to bring him ❤️

I am so sorry about your Kitty being lost. Put the Owner's worn clothes outside all around the house or where the kitty was lost. Kitties don't go far, but they do hide a lot. When it is quiet and darker, go out and shake her food bowl and treat bag and hopefully she will hear it and come out. Take a flashlight out at night. Kitty’s eyes will reflect and make the kitty easier to see. Talk quietly to her like you would if she was inside - yelling can scare them, though this is what we want to do because we want them HOME!! Knock on doors. Someone may have taken your Kitty in so she/he doesn't get hurt. Also ck with your Neighbors and ck their storage areas, sheds, etc. I know of a Kitty who was found in a storage room that had only been open for 5 mins. Put out flyers everywhere - stores, intersections, etc., and put the info on your car windows so that it gets the info out to more people. Use multiple actions to find your Pet...using only one may limit your success in getting your Kitty Home. Look inside over and over. Shake treats. Open food cans if you use canned food. - Any sound that the Kitty may come to. They are very good at hiding so she may have never left the house. Check with delivery people (mail, Amazon, Fed Ex, UPS, etc.) to see if they have seen your Pet. I'll be Praying for the Kitty to be found soon! Also, open the door he escaped from and leave open as long as possible. He will try to come back in that same way. This link has some really helpful info as well: https://www.facebook.com/MissingAnimalResponse/ Do be careful of scammers. Some people call or text and say they have your Pet just to get money. Pitiful!!

Search at night with a flashlight (eyes will glow) up in trees and inside and under things on your property and up to three or four houses away. Cats normally stay pretty close to home. You can put something with the smell of the cat, or the scent of home, out on the porch. Put up missing cat posters, check with your neighbors, post on all local social media groups, and check with animal control every week. Leave your garage door up enough to allow the cat entry. You can also try searching early morning, before dawn, calling his/her name and carrying and open can of tuna or cat food. Hunger sometimes lures them out of hiding. Don't forget to check places like crawl spaces, garages, and sheds.

Just be aware you will probably get scam phone calls, don’t ever agree to pay for vet services over the phone. I lost my kitty recently and got two such phone calls after posting on Pawboost. I hope you get your baby home soon. Leave your door propped open day and night if you can
