Description

Scarlett slipped out the door on April 17th around 9pm. She's a snowshoe pattern cat. Very shy and skittish.

Message from Owner

Scarlett (Baby TT) is very skittish. She would likely be hiding. She has never been an outdoor cat. We are distraught missing our little girl. Please help us find her. I can provide more pics as well. Call or text Ashley at.

Please post at least 3 pictures in the comments so we know her whole body look. You already have a face shot but you need a side shot and one other wild card. Wild card might show size or laid back demeanor or back shot. Anything.

Ashley Karns Jones I’ve used them a few times to get strays and it’s always been okay. Put one on your shirts or pillow cases in there & the food

Meriah Vroman I have 1 humane trap! I have never used it for a cat. I need to gain some courage and I will do it. 😭 I have some sardines for smelly food.

Ashley Karns Jones do you have humane traps? I have two that you could pick up from my work in Greer Monday if you’d like to borrow them

Also if you have an upstairs, open windows on opposite sides and call her name loudly, whistle, and clap for her out the windows - leave a door open and she may come back in - worked for me!

Borrow a trap, cover it with something with her or your scent on it, maybe put her bed in it, get some sardines in oil and put close to house or porch somewhere she might be hiding, also leave a window or door open during the night. Check all nearby Storm Drains, ask neighbors to check their cameras. She may be terrified but the sardines will overtake her fear at night, the chaper and stinkinr the better.

Ashley Karns Jones I know how you feel, so sorry. But don't give up. A new neighbor moved in 2 houses away (didn't know this until later) and as they were moving in their inside only kitty bolted. That's when I spotted a new cat going in and out of a hole in our nextdoor neighbor's shed. He'd come to our little outside table under our carport to eat dry food we put out every day for our inside/outside cats. Would not let me get close to him. About a month later the forecast was to be in the 20s at night and all of a sudden this kitty was my best friend! (how do they know?!) Anyway, a couple of months later he was sunning in our driveway and a truck ambled by and I heard a woman's voice yell out, there he is! She jumped out of the truck, scooped up this cat and drove off. I was happy to know the cat was back with his owner. She walked over an hour later to explain what had happened. So, don't give up hope! And please try the whistle call; no matter how bad you my think you do a whistle, bc it works, oddly enough. Never thought a whistle would bring cats to our house. And check your trees by walking around and saying her name, then stop and listen. Cats can race up a tree easy enough but coming down is a whole different thing. We've had to break out the extension ladder twice for our one kitty who runs up a tree whenever a loose dog comes thru. Good luck and keep at it. ❤️
