Put up posters, put use litter outside so she/he can pick up on their scent. notified vets, shelters, and recuses. Also notified chipped company if your cat is chipped. Check 1-2 blocks each way calling the cats name. .Check close to home like tree's, brushes, and any holes he may fine to hide. Ask neighbors to check their backyards and sheds. Go out late at night when everything is quite calling the cats name while carry a treat like tuna, make sure you stop to listen. Check under cars etc... Do you know if their is a cat colony someone in your area bc you could check with them to see if your baby is there too GL...Also beware of scammers-don't give money and ask them to sent picture NO FOOD it will attack prey

Shared post - [ ] Please look right away as coyote mating season is over for now but coyotes and foxes do still on occasion check out the subdivision areas. Put out something with your scent or yours feline’s and monitor the sight against predators and other cats. Go out at night with flashlight to see eye reflections and shaking treats. Check under decks, porches, bushes, trees parked cars rap on hood, check wheel wells, furnace/dryer exhausts and vents, window wells. If possible leave a door or window open where your feline can return. Good luck praying, fingers crossed for a safe return soon! Post when found as we all care!🙏 ♥️🤞💔 🐾

I know this is not ideal, but if you can, leave your door open a little bit and put out your worn clothing and some food. We did this and our cat came home in the middle of the night after missing for 3 days.

This was put together by a Toronto rescue by tips are great for anywhere. 1. Thoroughly check your house. The cat may be hiding under furniture or in a closet due to fright. 2. Start looking immediately. Lost cats are usually found within 50 yards of their home. 3. Ask neighbours if you can look for the cat on their property - under decks, etc. 4. Thoroughly search your neighbourhood. The cat is probably hiding close to home and afraid. Cats usually stay near or return to the door they left for a day or two before they wander for food but remember that cats are nocturnal and hide during the daytime. 5. Rent or borrow a live animal trap. Place it near an entrance to your home and bait it with smelly cat food. 6. Persist - keep monitoring the websites suggested below. Cat sometimes can be found in shelters months after they were lost. 7. File a report with Toronto Animal Services - https://www.toronto.ca/data/mls/animals/strayanimals.html and check it daily. 8. Check www.catsinthebag.org and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2eCoC63B9I for tips on finding a lost cat. 9. Create/Search listings on http://www.helpinglostpets.com/ 10. Post/Search on https://www.reddit.com/r/toronto 11. Check Pet Find Toronto: https://www.facebook.com/SearchSpecialists 12. Check Pawboost: https://www.pawboost.com/ - for suggestions and sample posters. 13. Do not use Instagram Pet Search. There are reported scammers who will take a fee, do nothing, and block you. 14. Get colour posters made and put them up immediately in a 5-10 block radius of your home. Include building and construction sites, and have your phone number visibly on the poster. Post them on community and local store notice boards. 15. Walk around a 5-10 block area after dark and bring food and treats. Stop periodically, calling the cat’s name softly. Listen carefully but do NOT make any loud noises or sudden moves. Use a flashlight - cats’ eyes will reflect the light and shine at night. 16. Try to remain inconspicuous and put the food beside you, not in your hand. Rattle a treats bag. 17. Put out his litter box, toys, food and water. Leave some food and water in hidden places near the door overnight and carefully check in the morning for signs he's been there. 18. Rig up a cat shelter with articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home. 19. Notify local vet offices, rescues, shelters (e.g. SPCA) and the microchip company if he's chipped. (Make sure that your contact information is up-to-date with the microchip company.) 20. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. 21. Check all nearby dark, shaded areas - under bushes, shrubs and trees and places where he can shelter from wind, cold/heat and rain. 22. Check under decks, in window wells and dark corners of nearby porches, yards, garages, sheds and stairwells for places where he could be hiding. Ask neighbours if YOU can check their garages and sheds as your kitty will continue to hide if they check. 23. Thump the hoods and fenders of any cars that have been parked for a while in case he or other small animals are hiding in engine compartments and wheel wells. Ask neighbours to do the same, especially in the winter. Also have neighbours check their ring doorbell and security camera footage. That is how I tracked and found my guy. I hope you find your baby!
