_____VERY IMPORTANT_____ IMMEDIATELY CHECK ALL SMALL SPACES!! Under houses, in sheds, in culverts, wells, every small space! Go to the shelter IN PERSON, at least every other day. They are required to hold strays for only 3 days if there is no chip. Print flyers, and give to the mail carrier, sanitation workers, vet clinics, shelters, and post at public places, like groc stores. IMMEDIATELY cut several smelly socks into strips and hang everywhere outside. Lost dog experts also highly recommend putting the dog's bedding outside. Also, highly recommend posting to as many lost pet sites as possible. Post to NEXTDOOR.COM & CRAIGSLIST.COM - many reunited in these free sites. Put large neon posters at intersections, with only the word 'LOST', a brief description if there is no photo, and a contact phone #. NO MORE THAN THAT, or people will not bother to read as they are driving by.

I hope you find your pup soon. Please try these 12 suggestions (click 'See More'): - Check shelters at least 100 miles from your home DAILY, on petharbor.com (this page is linked to all shelters and rescues in the US). - Post online with: ring, shadow app, Nextdoor, craigslist.com, Pawboost.com, LostMyDoggie.com, Petharbor.com, HelpingLostPets.com, Californialostdogs.com, Findingfido.com, and Findingrover.com -Check nearby homeless encampments and leave fliers with them - Check shelter's websites as well and visit/download the app for petharbor.com to see all shelter and rescued pets - File a lost report with the shelters in your area and surrounding area shelters (You can do it online on the website for Los Angeles animal services or the nearest agency to your home) - Take a fliers to the shelters and to businesses near location where pet went missing - Place his/her bedding, a piece of your unwashed clothing and a bowl of water (no food) in your front yard. He/she may be able to pick up the scent and find his/her way home - If he/she is microchipped, immediately contact the microchip company to report him/her lost, and update your contact information - Hang fliers (use a bright color board or paper) with your dog's picture in your neighborhood, surrounding areas, local shopping centers, businesses, vet's offices, groomers, etc. within a five mile radius from your home - Go door to door with the fliers as well and try to speak with people when handing them out - Make a sign with his/her picture and put it in your front yard stating he/she is missing - Post on area "lost and found pet" and community Facebook pages, area shelter Facebook pages, and newspapers, 5mile, offerup, and other 'for-sale' sites - Check the sites above for found pets and pets for sale - You can also make bumper stickers/magnets to put on your car and hand them out for others to put in their cars.
