STATUS NOT KNOWN - Outdoor or strictly indoor? FOR OUTDOOR/INDOOR CATS - A search is needed as it could be trapped or injured somewhere in its territory, about a 1,500 foot radius around its house. Search neighbors' garages, drains, in/under sheds & decks, up trees/roofs, on roadside. Inform those not on social media by knocking on doors and posting laminated, readable LOST fliers with photo and phone number on Stop signs in its territory. Ask who feeds cats outside as they might have seen it. FOR STRICTLY INDOOR CATS It will be fairly close by (500 feet) and will be scared and want to come back inside. Immediately, before it leaves for food, leave door or window it escaped from cracked open or use garage door. If it is a window, place a box below it so he can get back inside. Contain other pets in a room. Night return is typical. If not successful, do the same search tips above, but in a 500 foot radius around its house. For expert recovery advice/support go to LostCatsGeorgia.com (even if not in GA) and register. It is a free service. Report lost cat to county animal control and visit them. If in Cobb County check CC Animal Services intake photos - https://www.cobbcounty.gov/animal-services/lost-found-pets.

So sorry to hear that your cat is missing, here are some things that might help in your search. Put out things that smell like your cat, like their toys, bed, definitely their favorite food and water. And things that smell like you such as a shirt or blanket. Double check every place in your house, and garage, and in the bushes around your house. Cats will hide in the darndest places. Get flyers up in the area and make sure your neighbors are all aware to be on the lookout. Post on PawBoost and all the Lost Pet sites for where you live, and those will get shared. Constantly check with all of the animal shelters and they're posting a lot their intakes on Facebook. Also check with vets in the area.
You can set out a humane trap and see if you can catch your kitty that way.
If your cat is micro chipped, which I hope it is, check with the microchip company in case somebody finds your cat .
If you have Ring or other security cameras outside, check those, and ask neighbors if they can check theirs as well.
And if you've heard about coyotes in the area, please don't continue to let them outside. Please bring them inside and keep them inside to keep them safe going forward.Read More
