Does this sweet boy belong to anyone, or is there someone who can help him? Description:Large male dog (approximately 50–75+ lbs) with a stocky, muscular build. Short coat with light tan and white coloring. Mostly white face and chest with tan patches on his back and ears. He has a pink nose, light amber/brown eyes, and short floppy ears. Broad head and strong frame. He appears well-built and very friendly. We have not been able to check for a microchip yet because he will not get into my car and he’s a big boy. We tried, but he will not get in. Right now I am also not able to leave to get him basic needs because he will chase my car. I’m currently parked in the alleyway and we are located between two busy streets, so we are worried about his safety if he runs after vehicles. Despite there being no fence, he will not leave our yard. He actually slept curled up against our back door all night, which makes us think he really just wants to be safe and with people. If anyone nearby is able to help with safe transport or checking for a microchip, please reach out. If he belongs to someone, please let us know. If not, we would really appreciate help from someone who can safely hold him or assist with transport to a rescue or safe place. We just want to help keep him safe and hopefully get him back to his owner. We are also concerned about the weather dropping. Unfortunately, he cannot come inside — we have a very tiny place that is already full of cats. He is incredibly sweet and desperately wants to be off the street, but we’re in a tough situation. We do not have a fence, we live near busy roads, he cannot come inside, and we are barely during the week, so we cannot safely keep him here. He really needs to be fostered by someone who has a fenced-in yard and the ability to bring him somewhere warm. Please message if you can help. Also please know we already called animal control who informed us due to his breed there is a high likely hood he will be put down if his 72 hour or so hold runs out. We have also posted of the INDYLOSTPET, ring, neighborhood sites etc.

I came by and drove through the alley and did not see a dog just a cat inside a garage. I hope someone else helped you and the dog is OK.

My husband and I will come and help you get him in your car so you can take him to get scanned if you want. It will take us about an hour to get there though. Please respond and let me know if that works.

Thank you so much for helping him. Please carefully vet anyone you give him to. Some people have bad intentions especially with this breed

Can you contact Peaceful Souls Rescue and Recovery or Soars maybe.. or Rosie’s Animal Shelter! Poor thing! 🙏 I know there is a pit bull rescue in Indy , and if he is older you can call Taffy's Touch Senior Dog Rescue , because he looks to be an older dog!
