Message from Owner

Looking for my lost cat, Clover. He’s familiar with being outdoors and will go outside for a couple hours at a time, but he’s been gone for 10 hours now. He sometimes will come to people, sometimes he’s more shy. At home, he’s very affectionate and still has a lot of energy even at 10 years old. He is very much loved. I’m quite worried and am hoping to get him back home. Please check your garage or shed if it was opened today, under your porch or even your trees as he likes to climb them.

Have you driven around the neighborhood to see if he was hit by a car or otherwise injured? Please follow a missing cat report with the Virginia Beach animal shelter. If the cat is chipped, make sure that the registry has your current contact information. Visit the shelter to see if he’s been brought in. Tonight after 10 PM, go out on your yard and walk around calling your cat name and shaking a kitty treats bag. Take a flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding. Print flyers with your cats picture and your contact information and take them around to your neighbors, asking them to call you if they see your cat. I asked him if they’ve been in their shed, outbuilding or garage. Cats will go in there to hide to feel safe. If a cat is shot in any of those structures, you cannot hear them crying to get out unless you’re standing right next to the structure. Look under porches, decks, and under any house with an open crawlspace.
