5:40 pm 5/21: Friendly little guy who came to say hi to my dog and me as we were out by Lansing. Young, energetic. Sadly we didn’t have another leash.

For future reference, take the end of the leash with the loop and pull the leash through it to create a slip leash on that end, then slip that around the dog's head, and hold the leash in the middle between the two dogs.
