Set a humane trap in your yard near where he escaped. Bait with Mackerel or Sardines. Cover the trap with a towel leaving the entry uncovered and unobstructed. Monitor trap closely from a window inside your home and don't leave trap unattended. When caught bring the trap into your home before releasing your kitty. Don't give up on this technique.
