Have you posted to the Manchester / Hampstead group? When I lost my cat a few years ago - I did all the stuff: put food out, clothes, his own stinky litter, opened the basement door. It worked maybe, but I didn't know that until I got a motion sensitive CAMERA and set it up in the yard. One night I was watching the cam and saw him come out of the basement to eat some kippers. I got him.
