Most cats don’t travel to far from home 4-6 houses. Go out late at night and look under bushes with a flashlight and you might be able to see the reflection of her eyes in the light. Put out some of your dirty clothes so she can pick up the scent and find her was back home. Ask neighbors to check sheds/garages in case she’s stuck inside. Put a sign in your yard with her picture on it so if someone sees her or has her they will know where she belongs. If she’s chipped call the company and let them know she’s lost and make sure your info is up to date. Cats can stay hidden for up to 10 days. After that they venture out of hiding to find food. This is a critical time because they are exposed to predators. If you have a trap you might want to use it but never leave it unattended. Check shelters and Craigslist daily. Good luck getting your baby back home.

Cats are most active between 1-6 am. Walk your neighborhood around that time. Softly call her, rattle a bag of treats and shine a flashlight under cars and bushes and up trees and rooftops. Watch for the light to be reflected in her eyes. In the day time, check garages and sheds to be sure she’s not trapped. Ask your neighbors to check, too. Visit all animal holding spots in your area and if she’s chipped, be sure your contact info is up to date. Good luck. She’s such a pretty girl.

Put a piece of your worn clothes near escaped location. They say not to place their litter box near the area because of predators but someone suggested it for my guy when he got lost and it worked both times we moved a he was lost. Praying for her safe return 🙏🏼

So sorry your kitty is missing 😰 You must actively look for your kitty. Please go out late at night or very early in the morning when there are very few cars and people out. Sit on your front or back stairs, wherever she’s more familiar and talk in a normal conversation voice, think low cell phone conversation. Do this for at least an hour if not longer, morning and night until found. If she likes treats and knows the sound of a treat bag do that also or any sound that she gets excited about. If she’s scared and hiding, this may be the encouragement needed to come out. Cats can hide for days. Also go to catsinthebag.org for many other helpful tips on how to find her. Good luck.
