If normally an indoor cat, then kitty is likely hiding real close to home. They tend to freeze in place and may not come out if you call their name. They are masters at hiding and squeezing into small spaces. Use a flashlight to look in, under, behind all dark spaces so that their eyes glow. You can do this during the day, but especially at night when things are quieter. Check inside the house as well just in case (dresser drawers, up inside mattress box spring, recliner, sofa, etc). Look up in trees and other high spots in case kitty climbed up to escape another animal. Do NOT put litter box or bedding outside as that can attract other animals/predators. Put some of your dirty laundry/worn clothing outside for the scent. Leave a door cracked open so kitty can get back inside. Set up trail cameras outside and use a humane trap that you can buy at a hardware store or borrow from a rescue. Ask neighbors to check garages and sheds. Hang LOST signs in your area. Post on Nextdoor app, Ring app, Pawboost, area facebook pages, and lost and found facebook pages. Make sure microchip information is accurate. Check local animal shelters in person. Check the 24petconnect website via zip code for intakes and be sure to click on Lost My Pet, select the filter to increase the radius beyond the 10 mile default. Be careful of scammers contacting you about drone services, pet tracking or stories that your pet is at the vet and money is needed.

Margaret Gillerman thank you for your kind words ❤️ and yes we have signs up. I am hoping (more than anything) that she walks in the trap tonight or tomorrow. I have also been going out every couple of hours throughout the night to look for her. There is just soooo many spots she could be and because of her size she can squeeze just about anywhere. I just hope she is staying cool in this heat and safe. We absolutely adore her and my other cat just keeps crying for her. Black cats are the absolutely best, we will be devastated if we can’t find her ):

I hope so much she's home soon!!!!Sounds like she wants to come back based on the sunday sighting... Maybe go out in the evening. She might be trying to get back home. You have done so much to find your sweetheart. I'm so glad your neighbors know she's lost (I guess you have signs up on the street and in the apartment buildings.) Hope, best of luck and I feel for you. hugs (We had a very handsome, funny, smart black kitty we adored. We miss him every day. )

Margaret Gillerman lost in the villages of general grant on the buildings that back up to Watson road. I have a humane trap set out and as of Sunday night around 11pm she was spotted under the balconies that she jumped off of. I have her fav toys on the balcony (probably about a 4 foot jump from the ground). Food is left out for her and tuna as well as water, I saw paw prints (looked pretty fresh) yesterday under the balcony and that’s where I put the trap. Still no luck. I’ve contact every shelter in the area and alerted all apartment grounds staff and all neighbors. We are worried sick! She really is our sweet baby bean.

Beautiful baby. Hope she is home soon. 🙏Make Lost Cat flyers/signs with this picture and your phone number. Pass them out to neighbors and where she got lost and nearby commercial areas.. Walk all over your neighborhood looking in bushes, garages, etc. Ask neighbors? What street are you on? (put in post above) Post signs there and nearby. Some say you can make a sign by putting the flyer in a plastic bag so rain won't get on it and then post it on poles, stop signs, windows etc
