Harmony Decker I completely understand. I foster kittens and puppies, and sometimes their mom, too). My post acknowledged that the finders were going to lots trouble to find the owners. It was in response to the poster who was talking about rehoming fees.

Marian you are very late to this. Several of us have fed, made flyers, walked neighborhoods etc etc. The dog is in a warm home at the moment by needs her owner to be found and we are trying to do so.

Yea I know one of those people is me. I fed her before she made her way to Harmony ( which lives a few doors down from me )

Marian Ducrest Apparently, The mama dog was bouncing around houses on our street, she landed in ours yesterday morning. She pushed her way in. Acting like she lived there, and had no plans on leaving. We walked her on and off leash several times trying to get her to lead us to her home and/or her puppies with no success. We can't keep her because we are in the middle of finding a new house to live in. My friend fosters dogs and he took her so she can have a nice, warm place to sleep. She is not far, and I promise if the actual owners are found they will get her back cost free! Eventually, though we will have to move forward and get her vetted and adopted out and that will probably come with a fee, because it costs money to do those things. P.s she is the sweetest! I truly believe she belongs to someone. If we could, we would keep her. She fit right into our family instantly!

Nell Nystrom If that were the case in this incidence, I doubt that the finders would be going to so much trouble to find the owners.
