Orange tabby cat

We have seen this (stray?) cat in our neighborhood the past few weeks, mainly in the mornings and evenings. It will not let us capture it. Unsure if it belongs to anyone, it has no collar. We are concerned with coyotes in the area and it does appear to have what looks like a wound now on the upper shoulder area of the right from leg.
