I hope he returns safely. Go out late at night when quiet or very early in the morning. Tap a wet can of smelly, fishy cat food with a fork and yell, here kitty, kitty, in a high pitched voice and tap can. Do this several days. Also, listen for him. For mewing if he's stuck somewhere or needs help. Ask neighbors to check garages and barns, etc. Keep looking and calling. Unfortunately, there are a lot of wild animals out too, but cats are pretty smart and will Not go near a predator. He has claws and can climb and run. Keep looking, looking, looking.
