Mandi Prather-Black well it was the animal control that was called to set a trap or catch the little dog. But I think between when they received the call and them getting to the location where the little dog was spotted the dog was hit. When they arrived he/she had passed. They scanned it and took the little dog. I’m not sure what they did after they took it but I know the lady that scanned it said it had a chip and she could see the info

I have been seeing a little black dog on Ray rd for weeks. I have been trying to catch it! Yesterday I went back to check on this sweet baby but unfortunately it was hit by a car. It was picked up by harnett county and scanned for a chip. I hope this can bring closure to someone. I’m so sorry for this loss, I have been in tears for 2 days after pouring my heart into catching this baby!
