There are a few proactive things you need to do right way… I would go outside and call for her and shake a treat bag regularly. She may be holed up behind a bush or hiding. Probably not far away but they do get freaked out once they get out. Can you put your garage up 6”? Put a bed and water out there. He needs water 24/7. You can register her to multiple Lost sites. That way you get a poster to put up to alert neighbors she’s missing. Put them up also at more major crossings and intersections. Do the most right away. Check alleys and outdoor cat colonies in your area. Also a live TRAP is very effective when she gets hungry she’ll take the stinky tuna bait. Put it up near your house where you can monitor it often. I would only do this during the day and at dusk. Put her favorite blanket or your jacket over one end so she’s not as aware of the cage. Good luck.🍀 Hope you spot her.

On the outside of your house, put something that you have worn and has your son on it. For several days and perhaps even the cat sent, put one out in front of your door on the ground. Put one in the back door if you have a garage, maybe split at 6 inches. And put another blanket that maybe has their scents on it inside there. The garage, along with the shirt on the outside, hanging on the doorknob. Put food outside, take your vacuum cleaner. I would ever since I sprinkle it around the outside of your house. So the outside smells like the inside. Make sure there's a camera so that you can see if it comes around her. In a certain time you'll know when that is and perhaps you can try to trap him. You have to go out when it's around dusk. With his favorite street bag and a flashlight and shake it and call its name, and with the flashlight continue to look in bushes. Under sheds behind gowerbridge cans underneath peoples in the window Wells and the glow of their eyes will show in the light when you're looking in bushes. They're really nearby flyers. Flyers. Flyers, you need to act fast. You need to be boots on the ground. You need to be out there talking to people showing pictures of your cat, putting him on their door putting them in their mailboxes. Talking to people talking to rescues, going to the rescues, and seeing perhaps if he's there, because sometimes they're too busy to really give you accurate information, but you have to go day after day day after day, not stopping. Please fill out the lost forms at lostmykitty. com, pawboost. com, petfbi .com, petfinder. com. All rescues/shelters/pd/vets/lost and found groups use those sites. Thousands will see the post. I've also noticed a lot more pet posts on the Ne ighbo rs, N extDo or and Ring apps as well as Cra igsl ist. When you check Cr aig slis t, check not only the lost and found section, but the for sale sections as well. Make it a point to share the lost flyer with every vet you can, near and far....you never know if someone picked up kitty and brought them to where they live....i.e. next town over, so keep that in mind. Also post at any business that will let you. Look to join local fb groups and ask to share the post from Helping Lost Pets when it's available....Not just the lost pets local groups, the ones that are watches, news, etc. Make sure to post on the "Pet Alert" page.... Additionally, put kitty's litterbox outside, cats can smell their litterbox up to a mile away. If you have any dirty laundry, put as much as you can outside your house...sprinkle it around your property. Keep your garage or porch doors open a couple inches to allow the cat to get to a safe space. Cats usually travel 1 square block per week, so kitty is probably close. Try sitting outside and talking in a normal, quieter voice....like if you were on the phone. Cats get very skittish if they sense fear or irritation in a voice. Try luring the cat out of hiding with a laser pointer, if you have one. Talk to every neighbor in a 2 block radius and ask them to check their garages, sheds and window wells. Ask some local kids to help you find or let you know if they see kitty. Finally, listen for neighborhood dogs barking for seemingly no reason...they could be barking at a hiding cat.... Best of luck and don't give up hope. ALSO: There are no legitimate pet trackers on Ins tag ram, Wh atsA pp, gm ail or via text. They are all scammers....

Try Going out late at night ie midnight and again early am ie 5 or 6 am with their smelly food and treats. Shake treat bag and call out their name. Take a flashlight and check under porches and bushes. Also if you can leave a basement window and garage door open so they can get in. Do for multiple days if needed. Good luck. Kitties don’t usually go far from home

** Time is of the essence, for finding your lost cat. ** Your cat is probably nearby. Indoor cats usually find a hiding spot very quickly, and very close to where they escaped. Look up in the trees, and check under everything in YOUR YARD first… under decks, bushes, wood piles and sheds. Then check your neighbors yards. The best time to find your cat is at night, with a flashlight, when their eyes glow back at you. ***If your cat is scared, it will not respond to you calling him/her, so you'll have to use your eyes instead of your ears. *** ***When inside cats are suddenly outside, they can go into "survival mode,” and their entire personality changes.*** They, generally, will NOT wander. At least, not at first. (Unless they are not neutered/spayed.) Make sure to leave food and fresh water outside, in case they come out of hiding at night. Canned tuna (packed in oil) is nice and smelly. Also, a piece of your "worn" clothing, with your scent on it left outside, along with their bedding, with their scent on it, will definitely help. And, if you have a container or bag of treats that they really like.. shake it outside for your cat to hear. Also, leave your garage door or a window open a few inches in case it comes back at night. (5-7 inches.) [A special consideration in the cold weather, is to please CHECK UNDER THE HOOD of your vehicle! Oftentimes, a cat, especially an indoor only one, will seek out shelter or warmth in the engine area of your car. Do not start your vehicle, until you’ve checked!
