Stray Cat Sighting in Albuquerque, NM 87106

Description

White long-haired cat,with some gray in the tail. Has some mocos around the eyes I want to clean once they trust me more. Persian face, soft hair, only the tail is a bit matted, seems cared for but maybe missing for a while.

This little cat showed up in our parking lot at the end of last week and has been hanging around ever since. (Girard and Vail) The Kitty is super friendly and very sweet. Comes right up to me. I've been feeding them twice a day and making sure that they have water. I haven't had the chance to take them to the vet to see if they are microchipped yet, but I really want to do that as soon as possible. They haven't wanted to come inside and right now, I have an indoor cat so I can't let the cat inside until I take it to the vet and know if it's safe. However, I do have a shelter outside and a nice soft bed that's set up for the little floof ball. During the day, the cat seems to not be around as much. I'm assuming trying staying cool somewhere with the other neighborhood cats. The little kitty is here every morning and evening though. Given that the cat seems to have a persian face and the hair on their body is so soft and not tangled, it makes me think that maybe this cat has just been missing for a little bit about once was really cared for. I really hope to reunite the cat with their owner if possible. But if not, I'm planning on adopting them myself, since at least they seem comfortable here. If this is your cat or if you recognize this as your cat, please reach out to me.I'm not going to just give the cat away to the 1st person that claims it. I'll need to make sure that you have photos and proof that it was your cat and that it was cared for. This is only because I want to ensure that if I'm giving the kitty to someone, it's the correct place. This little cat is very sweet.
