Check outside very early like 3AM. They seem to return when it's very quiet. My take a few tries.

Put something outside that has a heavy scent of his hoomans.. socks, tshirts, dirty laundry and something that has his scent on..his cat bed, blanket, tower, etc. I don't recommend putting the litter box outside bc it attracts strays and the occasional skunk that might scare him away. Prayers for his safe return 🐾💕🙏
