Message from Owner

Salem is deeply loved and very missed. He is a 10-month-old solid black male cat with yellow eyes. He is microchipped and was wearing a collar with identification tags and an Apple AirTag when he went missing. He was last seen on Saturday, June 13th near Normandy and Perkins Extended in Memphis, TN. Please do not assume he is a stray or feral cat. If you see a black cat matching his description, please try to take a photo if possible and contact us immediately. Even a brief sighting is extremely helpful. We are very worried and just want our boy home safely. Please check garages, sheds, crawl spaces, under decks, bushes, and anywhere a frightened cat may hide nearby.

Shared with prayers. Leave your garage door cracked with his favorite food and bed inside as many times they come home when it is dark and quiet.

Jane Mims Most indoor kitties stick very close to home when they escape. You can rent humane traps and bait them and set them around your property. Also, you can go out at night with a bright flashlight and slowly pan over your yard, your neighbor’s yard, up in trees, on roof tops, under bushes and any structures, etc. You will be looking for your kitty’s eyes reflecting back at you. Be sure to post to Nextdoor.com and pawboost.com, hang signs up in the area kitty was last seen. Check your local shelters daily if possible. Some people do not suggest using the used litter as an attractant. You can read these articles and decide what you think is best. I definitely suggest using the food and doing an aggressive search as indicated in the first article. https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-pet-behaviors/kitty-litter-myth/ https://m.facebook.com/kenthumane/posts/10154688559152771
