Shannon Smith no that would be a 10 day quarantine. Confiscate could be if a person had to go to the hospital, was arrested, evicted, etc.

The owner is trying to claim their dog. She got the dog about a year ago from somebody she has lost touch with, and the chip is still under their name. When she went to the shelter to claim her they wouldn’t let her and said she had to stay there for the 10 day hold while they try to reach the previous. She’s not sure how her dog ended up as a confiscate. It seems her father or uncle took the dog out and came back and said he lost the dog. Maybe somebody else found the dog and they had a medical episode or were arrested. The current owner does have vet records from the last year under her name and she is going to bring that to TAF today, hoping that will be enough proof that she is the current owner.
