If you adopted her from a rescue or an individual, make sure to let them know she is missing in case they can assist.

Put smelly food like chicken and hot dogs, her kennel, blankets and your and her previous caretaker’s worn clothing outside where she was lost, at your house and at sighting locations for her. Make a scent trail of liquid smoke from the food outward in each direction. Call the police and animal control to report her missing. Ask neighbors to check surveillance camera footage to see if she has been seen on them. If she has a doggy friend/sibling that she is bonded with, take that dog out to search as well. Sometimes dogs will come to other dogs. Check the area well, including window wells, under decks, porches, bushes and places where she can get in but may not be able to get out. It’s really important to get big bright neon lost dog signs up in the area she is lost so people know who to call right away if they see her:
