Message from Owner

My Acorn has a habit of getting outside and hiding for a while. Prior to this, the longest he had stayed outside was 4 days. He's been missing for about 10 now. He is not neutered and is about two years old. When we found him, he should have been dead. It is a miracle that his little body survived and as a result of his horrible malnourishment he is not the brightest. When he gets outside, he tends to hide and does not respond to calls for his name. But he DOES know his name so if you call for him he may respond! He is not aggressive. I have never seen him be. He may be skiddish but he is a sweetheart. He is fully up to date on his vaccines and I swear to you he won't hurt you. He spends all day crying for my love when he's here at . It's been too long and I just want my baby . Please if you see my baby at all give me a call, message, voicemail, or all at either of these numbers: or. Thank you so much to everybody

Buy, rent or borrow a humane trap and set it up asap. It must be monitored, kept in the shade and covered on top because of the weather. Tractor supply, Lowes, Home Depot, and Amazon sell them. Certain animal shelters will rent them out. Keep in mind you may catch a raccoon and you need to know how to release it safely

Put something with your cat's scent on it outside on the porch such as a blanket, clothes, toys etc. Sprinkle cat nip on it too if you have any

Go knocking door to door asking your neighbors within a 2-3 block radius. Hand them a flyer with a photo of your cat/dog and a telephone number to be reached at. Hang up flyers outside and protect them with a plastic sleeve from the weather.

When he does return PLEASE get him neutered/fixed. He is roaming because he's looking for a mate. There is the humane animal rescue close to you. They have 2 locations. They are very reasonable in price to neuter and microchip him. The NORTH location is closest to you.
