Message from Owner

Maisie is microchipped and spayed little female kitty. She's shy, but food motivated. Last seen 1/2 mile from her home at 411 Dillingham Circle, at the sharp bend at the top of the Circle, near the large culvert at Philip Justin/Crowder Cove Rd. Thank you my neighbors for keeping a look-out for her!!

Appreciate this helpful list. Maisie was spotted Saturday evening about 1/2 mile down my road, at a stream culvert -- so the info on lost cats keeping close to creeks is good confirmation. ♡ Unfortunately, I live in a semi-rural area where there's lots of fields and woods between and behind houses. And no sidewalks or space alongside the road to park. Adds a bit of challenge to my search. Got signs where she was last seen, and hoping someone who may be feeding her will see them. She's shy and a bit skittish. Food motivated, but neighbors are rightly concerned about our large bear population, so leaving out food to attract her into the open is a problem.

Please look up in trees, under decks, under houses that may have missing foundation vent covers, up on roofs on your property and in your neighborhood. Go door to door asking neighbors to be on the lookout for your cat. Place a laundry basket of your unwashed clothing outside near your door. This can help confused and lost cats find their way back home. Go in PERSON to all animal shelters to search for your cat. The nice people answering the phones may not know about all the cats that have been dropped off or brought in by animal control. Call all local veterinary offices to check if anyone has brought your cat in to be scanned for a microchip. Ask them to be on the lookout for your cat. Post photos of your cat inside of grocery, pet supply, and around your neighborhood. Please don't give up on searching for your cat. I'm sure it would much rather be safe inside your home than lost outside.
