Litter box outside helped my cat find his way home when he got out. They can pick up their own scent from over a mile away. Check with neighbors. Someone may have taken him in or seen him. Ask them to check their garages and sheds. He may have wandered in and got trapped. Cats hide when they are scared. Check under bushes and landscaping, under cars, stairs and in window wells. Go out at night when it’s quiet with a flashlight and call him. The light will reflect his eyes. Put up posters and check local shelters daily. Try to go in person. Employees can’t remember every animal. Check online sites for lost, found and animals for sale. KSL, Craig’s list
