Message from Owner

Hey everyone. We just moved, and our handsome Russian Blue cat is gone. He has a darker shade of gray rings around his tail. He is long and chunky and has neon yellow and green ish eye's. He usually goes out for a day, but he's been missing longer this time. We're near Gravey and Jupiter, and we used to live by Heritage High. Please help us find him. Additional Context: *Garvey & Jupiter. We moved (~4 miles) into our new 6 weeks ago. Both of our cats were kept indoors for the first 2 weeks. Salem is an indoor/outdoor cat, but doesn't usually venture too far from his food source (he weighs almost 17lbs). He usually naps on the front porch or in my truck(he opens the cab window). He & our other cat ran out Sunday night as EMTs were wheeling my husband out. Salem ran into my truck, Simba went into the woods. Simba was back on the porch within 30 mins. Salem left the truck at some point and has been missing since. We have checked our old neighborhood, gone out looking at night, checked the woods, etc. He is chipped. We appreciate all of your suggestions and watchful eyes.

If you have a garage, leave it open put some clothes with your smell with fresh water. Try to go out in the evening and try to call him. He’s probably too scared to be out during the day.

I’m sure he’s close, leave your garage door cracked with some food inside.

Try to check back at your old place that you live just in case he decided that was home

Escaped cats often hide close to home but may be too scared to come when called. Be sure to check all possible hiding spots around the outside of your home. If you go out after dark, you can use a flashlight to check for kitty eyeshine. Also, post on Nextdoor. Good luck! 🍀
