Katja Gec yes I wrestle every day about letting my rescue cats out, but they’ve lived outside for so many years and they go crazy when I keep them inside. It’s just one of those things where you have to weigh their safety, well-being, kind of life they’re used to and like with longevity of life. After all a cat’s life is not that long. They may as well enjoy it.

Roseanna Samartano , yes it is. I didn't know about it until that happened to two of my kitties and more street kitties from my old neighborhood about six yrs ago. I discovered a few trappers and asked them to stop. It is a very sad situation here on this island that is supposed to be full of Aloha and kindness..

Kaiwahine is known for trappers who trap people's kitties and relocate them elsewhere. I have found them along Veteran's Hwy in the past, but they can take them miles away, sadly to say. I hope and pray your kitty is just out on a longer walk in the neighborhood and will return home. However, I do recommend you talking to all the neighbors near and far asking if they have seen or accidently trapped your kitty. Tell them the kitty is a very significant member of your family almost like a service animal. Appologize for any inconvenience he might have caused when he escaped from home. Also, put up flyers with maybe a small monetary reward for kitty to be returned home safely. All should be done ASAP as time can be very significant factor, specially if kitty was relocated.
