Stray Dog Sighting in Roxboro, NC 27573

Foxhound, clearly starving, pretty clean coat considering.

I saw a male Foxhound at the EonMobil at the intersection of Madison blvd & N Main St in Roxboro last night (April 10th) at 11pm. He was very gentle, very skinny, and had tattered remains of a collar without visible information on it. I figure this was someone's dog not too long ago. He was looking in trash cans. I was reluctant to invite him in my car for safety, but I wish I had in hindsight. We brought food back to where we saw him around 10 minutes later and he was gone. We looked several places in the area but did not see him. I called and left a message at the Person County Animal Shelter line, the animal hosp, and maybe APS of PC but I think their mailbox was full. If you have any suggestions as to who else I should contact or other steps to take, I would greatly appreciate it. For example, if there is a better page to post on Facebook, I'd appreciate a tip because I haven't used those forums before. I have a video / photos of the dog close up. Thanks everyone for your care.
