The dog is safe, indoors, fed and sleeping in the ac. I've posted everywhere and he's got an air tag. No one's looking for him and we think he was being dumped when my son walked by at 2 am

Can you bring the dog inside to safety, food and water and then take to a vet to scan for chip? The vet may also recognize the dog and be able to contact its owners. Check with other local vets as well and contact the police. Also post fliers. And beware of bad actors!!! Also keep checking Nextdoor and Pawboost for cats found in and near your zip code.
