Message from Owner

This cat belongs to my 10-year-old son and my autistic daughter. And of course all of us but was intended more for my autistic daughter and my 10-year-old son who have been wanting a cat for a long time. My artistic daughter is a bit on the introverted side and has come out of her s by inter interacting. with this beautiful boy. I wasn’t sure if she would ever get emotionally attached to the cat however she did. I’ve never seen her pet an animal before. She would always tolerate them and smile as they sat beside her, but she would always pet Homer and I think his purring soothed her anxiety and her sensory issues. He followed my dog outside while I was at work they tried to grab him, but couldn’t he jumped right over the fence behind us as the majestic oaks area off bunker, and he has not been back since. He knows where he lives as he has been out before for a couple of hours every once in a while and always came . He was very loved and cherished in this household and without him, we are all feeling a huge loss. If anybody has seen him at all, I will give a reward. My kids just want their sweet kitty back. He can’t be replaced. He knows my daughter has autism and he seems to know when she starts to get nervous. He’s truly the best. Please help me find him and bring him back .

Katrina-Katie Knott thank you so much for posting that. That’s about 12 miles from my house so very likely not plus he doesn’t have the slit in his ear. Mine enhance. I got all excited because even though he is just a tad darker in the face that my cat I got excited cause I thought maybe he was just dirty but then I thought it was Fridley and I’m in Ham Lake right on the edge of Blaine. I’m off of Bunker and 65. He’s really scared of cars so I can’t see him go that far. I was so freaked out when I saw the slit in his ear because I don’t know how it got there but now I’m glad because it sets him apart from all the other cats. I look at thinking it’s him but it’s not because they have pristine beautiful ears lol

They are usually closer than you think and scared/hiding (unless not fixed). It can be over a week before they venture out for food. Don’t rely on neighbors seeing your missing kitty posts. *Live traps work well but must be monitored often. Talk to all neighbors and physically check yourself all surrounding sheds, garages, under bushes and decks (5 house radius). Give your mail carrier a pic with phone # on it. Search and cross-post on Nextdoor, Pawboost, Petco, Pet FBI, etc. Post to Nextdoor many aren't on FB. If they come back, chip and clip if not already done. 🐱

Thank you all so much for caring and for your advice. I currently have his food outside. It’s been out there for a while. It’s in an area protected from snow. I have been checking multiple times a day at the Humane Society companion, animal, shelter, next-door, Facebook, etc. There’s absolutely no trace. I don’t want to lose hope but I’m starting to think something happened to him. I’m starting to think an animal bigger than him got a hold of him or something. I don’t know what to tell my kids.

Put familiar scent articles outside seeing as the snow has melted quite a bit. Walk around the area calling his name softly. Bring treats. Don’t yell or chase. Put up colorful flyers. Check any garages, sheds, under decks, in window wells, under cars and trucks. Open your garage door a few inches and put some familiar scent items in there. Hope you find darling Homer safe soon.
