Message from Owner

Our indoor/outdoor cat Link has gone missing. He has not been home in a few days and never misses a meal. Hoping someone in the neighborhood might spot him. He’s pretty skittish when he’s outside. We’ve lived in the area for 4+ years so it’s unlikely he’s lost. We’re worried maybe he’s hurt or someone might have brought him into their own home as he does not have a collar (the breakaway collars always come off on his adventures). Please call or text if you spot him or have any leads!

Hi Katia Jduevcj, thanks for sharing. This kitty looks like it’s wearing some sort of collar. Ours did not have one unfortunately so I don’t believe this is him.

Hi Sue Anne what part of town are you in? We’re in Maitland. Looks very similar but tough to say for certain!

~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… Someone may have him thinking he was abandoned… Someone may have a camera that captured something… Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… If the dog is microchipped, call the company ASAP … Report you animal missing to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters. Shared with many prayers
I’m sorry your adorable brown tabby cat has failed to return home and is lost, but please try not to fear the worst — Link may simply need some extra help getting home. Thoroughly search using a flashlight during the day and especially at dusk (when it's dark and quiet) to determine whether he’s ill or injured and hiding nearby, or stuck somewhere. Check every crack and crevice, look in outbuildings, containers, vehicles, under foundations, sheds and porches, into trees, etc. — call and listen carefully for Link’s cries (he may alert you to his location). And it’s important to ask neighbors to do the same and make sure Link didn’t hide and became trapped in a shed or garage, etc. Please see this list of step-by-step instructions developed to help others in this situation (click on the link) and let me know if you have questions. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10236753035464835&set=p.10236753035464835&type=3 In addition, this video explains the temperament and behavior of a lost cat — it may instill hope of finding Link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2eCoC63B9I Good luck. Please keep us posted on your progress.
Cook chicken on the grill. Put catnip outside. Play YouTube videos of kittens crying and shine a laser cat toy around the bushes.
