🐈‍⬛Found Cat Protocol- Follow the Law Please follow my advice: 🐾Just remember found animals cannot be re-homed by you. You have to make an effort by law to find the owner and if not turn over to Animal Control who will take to the shelter your town contracts with. ⬇️ Please knock on your neighbors door’s within a mile radius of where you found the cat. It’s the law to report a found pet to the local police department as well as Animal Control and should also be reported to the shelter that Animal Control for the town contracts with. Owners who have lost their pets will make a LOST pet report and Police and Animal Control work together to reunite the found pets. Lost cats have patterns and they usually stay within a mile and most are found much closer to home as in a couple houses away or next street over. Hand out cat flyers, speak to people. Post flyers up on poles as well. Please be sure to get proof of ownership before handing the cat over. Call the local police and Animal Control to see if there was a missing pet report made the matches. Take to any Vet for the free service of scanning for a microchip. 🐈‍⬛Don't give exact location online if a cat is still outside...for these reasons. .. Please keep this cat's future safe ...❤️ ..... if someone offers to help...verify their affiliation with Rescue or Vet Clinic... 🙏🏻❤️🐈‍⬛Be very cautious Predators search online with ill intent...bait in dog fights and smaller as snake food are just two of the horrifics...some show up with kids to hide the deception of being "nice" ...ask a LOT of questions... if anyone seems annoyed with wanting to check their affiliation with Rescue or asking too many questions...move on...anyone sincere should recognize your need to keep this cat safe...thank YOU.. ...if someone wants to claim or offers to adopt...ask for Vet Clinic used with past or present pets...verify care...seek the phone # of clinic on your own...not a # they give you...could be a friend...sorry we have to be so cautious...but...we do ..if trying to claim this cat require family photos with this cat with exact markings matching... . Verify all info .... keep scammers away... 🙏🏻

That poor baby looks like he may be hurt or sick. And it’s so hot out! Please call a rescue so they can check for a chip. Please feed that poor thing and give him water. He needs to be somewhere cool. He looks so lost. Prayers he wasn’t dumped 💔😢🤬🙏. And. KARMA to animal control!! Worthless! 🤬
