There are two Australian shepherds one is red merle male, the other is a blue merle female heterochromic. Roscoe is approximately 85 pounds Willow is 45 pounds they are both very friendly though a little skittish towards strangers.

1. Buddha Dog Rescue & Recovery — this would be my first call/contact. They specialize specifically in lost-dog recovery, including frightened dogs in “survival mode,” sightings, feeding stations, cameras/monitoring and safe trapping. They’ve successfully worked lost-dog cases in the Poconos, including an East Stroudsburg dog that traveled more than 18 miles before being recovered. Buddha Dog Rescue & Recovery Lost Pet Help⁠ 2. AWSOM Animal Shelter — 3129 Godfrey Ridge Dr., Stroudsburg, 570-421-3647. They serve Monroe County and actively help reunite lost pets; they also maintain a “Found Animals” page showing animals brought into the shelter. 3. Camp Papillon Animal Shelter — 570-801-6166. It’s another Monroe County shelter that should receive the dog’s photo, description, microchip information and last-seen location. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture lists both Camp Papillon and AWSOM as licensed Monroe County facilities that may receive dogs running at large. 4. Also post immediately in Monroe County PA Lost Pets, Lost and Found Pets of Northeast PA, Pocono Mt. Lost/Found and Adoptable Pets, and Lost Dogs Only PA/NJ/NY Borders. Pocono Animal Welfare Society specifically recommends these local groups for lost pets.
