This little guy squeezed past a gate and took up residence in my back yard last summer. I posted him online but no one claimed him. Summer is coming again and I don't want him outside in the heat. I have fed and watered him for 9 months, but he still has not warmed to me enough that he will let me pet him or take him to a vet to check for an ID chip. He always shows his teeth and he refuses food, water or treats until I leave and back up about 20 feet. If I persist he starts shaking. I am making another effort to find his long lost owner. I get the feeling that his owner might be a woman, since he seems less afraid of females.
