I just adopted this sweet, shy boy. He snuck out and does not know the area. 3 years old about 12 lbs. Praying for his return.

Put bedding outside as a scent. Have neighbors check cellars sheds garages and vehicles. They get trapped. Look under porches and sheds etc. Have a Heart trap with tuna. Cover trap with blanket and watch trap. Look at night often with flashlight. Check attics drawers and in trees 🌲. Culverts. Flyers everywhere. Check town authorities and vets. Look at lost and found pet sites shelters in case brought in. Craigslist too. Get kids you know to help look. Check behind walls and insulation. Abandoned buildings. Leave the door open for cat or window.

I am hoping he is found quickly- The tips posted are good but there is a fuller list here: Shared to Cat Finders: Lost/Found Cats in NH Here’s some help https://www.catfinders.org/ Definitely get posters out- and talk to neighbors. As you walk around calling, maybe shaking treats, even in daytime have a flashlight. He is most likely under a porch or up a tree or under brush. The light can catch his eyes. A scared cat may only move at night. A have-a-heart trap can help. Often you can borrow one - Call all the area vets and shelters plus the police and animal control. And check back with them. Good luck
