Dottie Donnelly she never texted me through the night so he probably did not go into the trap 🥹 I’m losing hope on how to get him. I’ve done so much.

NaShay Sunderland that's awesome that you have someone helping. Keep trying with the trap. He's not inclined to go in if there's another food source but maybe with tuna or sardines he might just venture in.

NaShay Sunderland you should try sardines, or tuna. He's likely getting food elsewhere which makes it a little harder.

Dottie Donnelly the other lady gets alerted every time he goes to her door to eat. She lives two streets over up the road. He gets scared and runs when she opens her door though. She’s caught another cat that went into the trap last night and released him. I’m working 12 hour nights this weekend so can’t do much but rely on her help.

NaShay Sunderland definitely need something aromatic to get his attention. The folks at the shelter that do TNR can advise you on what they use. Are you able to keep a close watch on the trap?

Dottie Donnelly we’ve used canned cat food and I think we’re gonna try tuna or chicken. I’ve even got a blanket over the trap and inside I have a pair of my socks and gloves for my scent. The blanket has my scent, my sons and simbas scent so thought it’d help him go in.
