Striped young cat, maybe 8 months old, very slim

Message from Finder

Flea collar, young juvenile cat, very hungry. I fed her some wet food. Friendly, but did not want to be picked up. Can’t bring her inside due to my two cats and it being a small studio

I place rescue cats in my bathroom and I have over 15 cats at home and it does not create any issues at all - it's totally doable short term - so you can rescue this angel. FOSTERING FOUND KITTY - Creating a Safe Haven 😻When you rescue a cat from the street, you are often their last hope for survival. Because many cats brought to shelters never leave, fostering them in your home is the greatest gift you can give while searching for their guardian or a new forever home. 😻The Bathroom: The Perfect Starting Point Don’t worry if your bathroom is tiny; cats actually prefer small, contained spaces when they are overwhelmed by a new environment. Keeping kitty in the bathroom ensures they are safe, easy to monitor, and away from the stresses of the rest of the house. 😻Setting Up the "Bedroom" Inside the bathroom, provide a litter box, food, and water. For their bed, a covered hard carrier is the most ideal setup. 😻The Setup: Place a soft blanket inside the carrier and d another blanket over the top, leaving only the front opening clear. 😻The Strategy: By making the carrier the only "hiding spot" in the room, the cat will learn to view it as their safe zone. This makes it much easier to transport them to the vet for a microchip scan or to their new home later on—they’ll already be comfortable inside! 😻Acclimation and Trust: I always keep new rescues in the bathroom for at least a few weeks until they are fully acclimated and ready to explore. Even spending just 30 minutes a day with them makes a world of difference. It helps them feel safe, allows you to get to know their personality, and ensures they are ready for the next chapter of their life. 😻 Thank you for opening your heart to a cat in need. You are changing a life that someone else has failed. ❤️.❤️

Kitty could be lost or abandoned - can you get kitty into a carrier and bring to any vet to scan for a microchip? Do not pick up instead pull him inside an open carrier as shown in this photo - I do this with cats i've just met - very easy compared to picking up a cat - no way. The other idea is to place kitty in your bathroom temporarily with litter box food and water and blanket - to keep safe and to find a friend to potentially foster kitty - when they show up like this we are usually their last hope.... please continue to put out food and water for this poor hungry cat - water bowl outside too xoxoxoo
