Description

White dog possibly German shepherd or German shepherd mix. Has very nice harness and leash, nails trimmed, clean, knows basic commands. Possibly still young maybe around a year old I don't know for sure and is very rambunctious.

I can not keep this baby. I am disabled and can not take on another mouth to feed and my babies aren't having it so I have to keep him separated from them. I don't want to just give him away to only be possibly dumped somewhere.. because of irresponsible owners. I would like him somewhere safe and I will bring him to you if you can take him in. I desperately need to have him gone. I've posted on various sites and no one has come forward to claim him.

He is with a rescue in a foster home with people who have other German shepherd dogs and are familiar with the breed. I don't know how to delete this post or do update.

Helen Swim Bearden Gilmer no longer has an animal control officer. I have contacted both county and city police department and neither is willing to help. Mt. Pleasant is where Gilmer used to take them but when I called them they refused to take him unless an animal control officer brings him in. They both have my contact info and I have posted him on various sites trying to locate his owner. I kept him as long as I could and he is now in a foster home being cared for. It's not fair to him or us the situation that this has put us in and we did everything in our means to locate the owner going house to house and asked everyone at the park but no one knows who's dog it is. I had to keep him separated from mine because they were not having it and it isn't fair to him to not be with someone especially being a shepherd that needs human companionship.

Is there a City or County animal services near wherever the dog was found? The owner may have reported as missing and will most likely check that type of place repeatedly looking for their dog. Since it’s wearing a nice halter and leash, it obviously has an owner.
