Maybe this will help: How to Find Your Lost Cat One thing to try is putting a toy or two, their bed, something that has your scent and/or their litter box on the porch(be aware that the litter box could potentially attract predators, so keep a close eye on it and be sure to bring it inside if you're worried it's attracting the wrong crowd). Go out late, after 11:00PM and again at midnight and at 1:00AM, and call your kitty’s name as loudly as you feel OK with in the neighborhood. Maybe 2-3 times each night. You could also try playing a sound that mimics a cat on your phone. The later you go out the better chance you'll have to hear your kitty and for them to hear you. Walk slowly and listen very carefully; the little beasties just love to explore other folks' garages and places that may close them inside. Carry stinky wet food and wave the can around so the smell is dissipated. * Don't get discouraged and don't stop looking every single night! * Kitty most likely didn't go too far away. Also: Make signs to hang/hand out around the area. Including a photo On the sign is a great idea. Be concise and specific in your wording. Use bullet points and hard returns after each line, e.g. - Tabby cat. Young. - Grey with black stripes. - Black collar. - Neutered male. - De-clawed. Maybe add tear-off tabs with your name and phone number. Also knock on neighbors' doors. Give each of them a copy of the sign you made as well. Not only your block, but the street behind yours as well. And of course look for Kitty at: PARC (Animal Shelter) 610 E South 11th Street ********** and Taylor Jones Humane Society 2301 N. 3rd St. ********** Taking a peek online or calling the shelter and the Humane Society daily is good, but an in-person visit to the kitty cages is best. And ask to see ALL the cats, including the ones in sick bay. I pray you find your kitty soon!
