Message from Owner

Mr. Kitty is the newest member of our family and he is our baby kitty. He is an inside cat thus far and is probably really scared. Please contact me 7078005624 if you see him. Thank you

I hope you get your baby back safe and sound! I used the litter box idea when my baby ran off, it worked! I was living in apartment and very little wildlife around! I wouldn't do it where I live now as we get coyotes, bobcats and such!

Aimee Hennessy we live in an area where there are cats, raccoons, fox, coyote and NEVER has anyone had one of them get into cat box. I think it is bad advice, they want their cats back. and it works

I'm sorry people are so tied to the litter box idea and happy for those it works for! In some areas it may be safe. If you have open space and wildlife near you, or other free roaming cats, it will attract coyotes, raccoons, other cats, and could spell disaster. I had a disaster, so Teri Gene you can tell my dead cat how great that works. Did you even read the article? Experts don't generally recommend that for a reason! Why would you pick up food to not attract other animals but leave something else that will? Stop taking this personally and just think sensibly if you really want to help people.

I disagree with the person Aimee Hennessy who says don't put the litter box out, it is one thing they are familiar with and will find. THIS WORKS :if missing a cat: put the dirty litter box out, a piece of your clothing that you have recently worn. It can help the cat find it's way back, as cats can smell their own boxes from a great distance. Go to the humane soc or shelter in person. Check barns, sheds, and garages in the area. Call out at night when the cat may hear you. And wait to see if it meows.. good luck

Please don't put litter box out as it may attract other critters that could scare your baby away. Here's some other tips!
