Please insist on proof of ownership from anyone claiming to be the owner. (vet bills, photos, etc.) You could make a Found Pet report with Toronto Animal Services, and check the Lost Pets section of their website. Animal Services will come and take the cat to their shelter if you don’t want to look after it while searching for the owner. You could put up posters near your home and re-post this item to any local/neighbour Facebook groups.
