This cat has got to be someone’s baby. Maybe an indoor/outdoor cat or stray. Healthy fear of cars mostly but I’ve seen him multiple times before today and he walks out across streets during daytime. Concerned for him getting hit. Also other cats nearby fight sometimes (I stopped a cat fight with another orange cat and a black and white feral cat very close to this location-same street- a couple of yards/meters down street-near alley). Cars go down this street very quickly. He’s healthy, fit, affectionate with a healthy caution to strangers and cars except when pursued in a non-threatening way and given the respect for consentional touch. Hung out with him for 10 minutes. Loves to watch the boys baseball practice.
