Rent or borrow a humane trap. The SPCA and other animal shelters rent them out for $100. When you return the trap you get your $100 back. Place the trap near where the cat escaped. Put some of the cat's favorite food and treats inside of the trap along with an article of your clothing with your scent on it. This method worked for me on two different occasions. If you trap the wrong cat or some other animal, put a blanket over the trap leaving the door exposed. Stand behind the trap and release the animal. Reset the trap. Time is of the essence so do this asap. Good luck and God bless.

Alex Moso Please be very careful regarding messages like this. It has been known that scammers use this tactic saying they have your pet and then ask for money to get the pet back, or that the pet is hurt and they need to you send them money for the vet expenses, etc. I can't speak for that specific email, but others have said they were duped in this way. Please be safe. Hope you get Leo back soon.

File Lost Cat Report w SPCA and local Rescues. Look everywhere in your house, close doors behind you as you go. Check in and behind sofas, beds, dressers, ductwork etc. Talk to neighbors, show his picture to neighbors, ask if they can check sheds and garages. Be sure to check up in trees, under shrubbery. Put out your used bath towel, the scent will draw her closer. Never put out his litter, it will draw cats and other animals that will scent the area a keep yours in hiding. Post flyers around, place them in large ziplock bags for outdoors and check w local shops to see if you can post there. I'd contact local Vets too, then you can email them a flyer that they can post in the office. Is he Chipped? Does he have an ID tag on? Good luck, hope you find him asap. 🐾🙏💕

Post flyers, alert all vets and shelters, put something outside w his scent, and check locally as they usually don’t go far like in garages, yards, bushes, under decks and cars 🙏🏻
