Oh my!!!! Thank you all so much for your responses!!! I don't use social media normally but had to break the barrier in hopes of finding her. I just drove about 45 miles to where I went to see my doctor that day in the slim chance she jumped in the car before I left home. No luck but at least I felt like I did something! I walked around like a nut ringing a bell which I always do to call my cats in for dinner. They stay in at night. We live on a farm so there is lots of acreage and woods for her to hide. She's afraid of the road at least my observation. Her sister comes for walks with me and my dog. I think Gabby felt like a 3rd wheel as Heidi and my dog are buddies. I pray she is OK and just found a better home with air conditioning!!! I checked shelters but should go visit; put up flyers, and called animal control. I did have a cat once that was gone over 2 months and returned...but he was a male and gabby seemed to be a homebody. Maybe I was wrong! Thank you all for prayers and suggestions. I will keep trying!!

Contact animal control and police in case someone finds your cat and calls them. Even if you called already, it's good to remind them that your cat is still missing. Also use lostmykitty.com and https://petfbi.org/ to list your cat as well. In addition to flyers, a good way to reach all your neighbors is something lostmykitty offers, an amber alert where they will call and leave a message about your missing cat to all your neighbors. See if your town and surrounding towns have community Facebook groups and share this post there. And if you haven't already, post your lost cat on the many missing pet sites on Facebook. There are usually several for specific areas. Also, call all the local vets and emergency vets and get flyers to them so they can keep an eye out if anyone brings your cat to the vet. Lastly, check the local shelters on Facebook regularly as they usually post pictures of the animals they receive. Also file a missing pet report with all the local shelters. You can email them and send photos and you can go to them in person and look at the cats they have. I hope you find your cat soon.
